Resum:
A finals del 2003, va morir Petre Toma, un habitant de Marotinu de Sus. Pocs dies després del seu enterrament, tres parents van caure malalts i el mort va ser vist rondant casa seva. Sospitós d'haver-se convertit en un strigoi, sis persones, tots parents o amics del mort, van anar al cementiri on van obrir la tomba. Amb l'ajut d'una dalla van treure el cor del mort i el van cremar. Van recollir les cendres i les van barrejar amb aigua per a beure-s'ho.; i les víctimes de l'strigoi es van recuperar. Desafortunadament per a ells, a les autoritats no els hi van agradar els fets.
Abstract:
At
the end of 2003, Petre Toma, an inhabitant of Marotinu de Sus, died. Few
days after his burial three relatives of the dead man became ill and
Toma Petrica was seen wander their house. Suspected of having turned
into a strigoi, six people, all relatives and friends of the deceased,
went to the cemetery where they opened up the grave. With the help of a
scythe they removed the dead man's heart and they burned it. The ashes
were collected and mixed with water to drinking; and the victims of the
strigoi got well again. Unfortunately for them the authorities were not
pleased by the happenings.
